Getting closer

This picture is of the cabinet doors, painted with hardware....

This is the new pantry wall. We are waiting on some different hinges so that my sliding drawers will pull out. They have been ordered and are on the way!

This is my new desk area..phone, calendar, etc...the "drop-off" zone! The two little shelves above is where I decorate for the upcoming holiday...St. Patty's Day! Of course we celebrate St Patty's day in the Sullivan family. What do we do you ask??? We wear green like the rest of you!

Counter tops are "in process" ...It's all starting to fall into place! It's been a long time coming!

Still to come, counter top, back splash, new door to garage and then touch ups...Yippy, we are almost there!

The doors are here..YIPPY!

The doors came yesterday...I was so excited! As I was unpacking them...and trying to figure out which door goes where...I came to the conclusion that this is "really" getting done.

Andy hung a few last night, just to give us an idea....they still have to be painted....but you get the idea!

When we bought this house (set)

This is how horrible the kitchen was. It is still bad, but this blog is about our new journey to make it a little bit better. We defiantly didn't buy this house for the kitchen. We bought this house for the yard and its location. We LOVE our neighborhood and the people we have become friends with.

This was the day we moved in and we did make some minor, temporary, cosmetic changes at that time. I'll try to find some more recent pictures and post them here too.

Here we go...

You can kind of tell in this picture that we painted (tomato soup is what I like to call the color) over all the vines and took down all the ugly wallpaper. We also put in a sliding glass door and removed the french door. ( the french door took up too much room when you tried to open it) We also removed the to posts at the end of the counter top. They were just in the way. We removed the ceiling fan and put up a nice light fixture.
BTW - this picture was taken on Halloween, Jodi doesn't always dress like this!

So the set change has begun and I want to try and capture some of it here. Stay tuned.....
